Experience a real rafters baptism on the river Drava and indulge in a tour of the Peca underground!


 

In the early morning we go wandering around our hidden treasure of nature - Carinthia. The route will take us past Celje, where we make a stop for morning refreshments, Velenje and Slovenj Gradec to our first stop on Gortina - the rafting port. A real "rafter's" experience awaits us! On the bank, we are greeted by a "kormoniš" with a traditional rafter's rafter's baptism.

We say goodbye to the rafters in good spirits and head on to the underground of Peca - the Mežica tourist mine. With a real mining train, equipped with mining equipment, they will take us to the heart of the mine - as much as 600 m below the surface of Veliki vrh. Accompanied by an experienced guide, we will experience a real "Knap's shift", and we will also treat ourselves to a real Knap's snack. We will end our wandering around Carinthia with a visit to an excellent tourist farm, where they will conjure up a real culinary experience and serve us authentic home-made delicacies. In the evening we head back towards home.
