Visit the place where our former state of Yugoslavia was born. The rich history that gives a stamp to these areas is accompanied by extremely beautiful and unspoiled nature and the hospitality of the inhabitants.
 

Day 1: Brežice - Banja Luka - Jajce - Sarajevo

Departure in the early morning hours from Brežice. We drive across Croatia towards the border with Bosnia. We will stop in Banja Luka, the second largest city in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the capital of Republika Srpska. In the town, which stretches on both banks of the river Vrbas, we will visit the center of the town near the fortress Kaštel, followed by a short tour, a visit to the market and some free time.

We will continue through the exceptional canyon of the Vrbas towards the town of Jajce, which is built on the beautiful waterfalls of the river Pliva. Important history from the Middle Ages to the Second World War was written here. session of AVNOJ, whose museum we will also visit.

Next we will continue along the valley of the river Vrbas, passing Donji Vakuf to the picturesque town of Travnik. The locals believe that it has remained like a half-open book, where various monuments are decorated on all sides. We will stop at the source of the river Plava voda. This is the home to the excellent Travnik čevapčiči, which according to some are the best in Bosnia.

Afterwards we will drive along the valley of the river Bosna to Sarajevo, followed by accommodation in a hotel *** and a Bosnian dinner.

Day 2: Sarajevo - Doboj - Bosanski Brod - Brežice

After breakfast we will drive under the mountain Igman, where the river Bosna originates (option to visit the "Tunnel of Salvation") and walk across the picturesque park, which is enriched by numerous ponds, wooden bridges and walking paths. A special alley of more than 3,000 Kostanjevs, more than 100 years old, leads to the source of Bosnia, and at an additional cost you can be taken to the source by a Sarajevo attraction - a "carriage" that has been transporting people since 1895. After the tour we will have a panormic ride from which we will be able to see the Zetra Center and the Olympic Stadium. Our bus will take us to the city center, where we will accompanied by a local guide. We will  visit the old part of the city with Baščaršija, Princip Bridge, Vječnica, Gazi Husrevbeg Mosque, the old Orthodox Church, the cathedral,… We will have enough time to explore many shops and crafts of Baščaršija and drink traditional "Bosnian coffee".

Afterwards we leave Sarajevo and set off for home. On the way we make a stop in the town of Doboj, where we will be served excellent cuisine "under the sača". Drive home with intermediate stops, arrival in the late evening.
