You will admire the majestic castle Rajhenburg, standing on a hill at the confluence of the river Brestanica and Sava. Beside the rich history and pleasant views you will enjoy a dessert and find a piece of spiritual peace in the village of Kostanjek.
Our attractive panoramic bus will take us to Krško and to the nearby town - Brestanica, located in a narrow valley at the mouth of the stream Brestanica in the Sava River. Before we will eneter the town Brestanica we will already be surprised at the view towards the majestic castle Rajhenburg where will be our first stop. In one and a half hour guided tour of the castle we will learn about the rich history and the life of Trappist monks. We will be greeted by Gabriel Giraud Society, which was founded with the aim of reviving and promoting traditional products of the Trappists, such as wine, chocolate and liquorice.
The path will lead us through Brestanica and picturesque scenery to the village Kostanjek. Kostanjek is inspired with the development of organic fruit growing, especially with the variety 'Kozjansko apple". We will also visit the church of St. Vitus, patron of winegrowers and youth. The trip will be completed with a visit to the unique farmhouse where we will taste local wine and snacks. We will end our journey full of new pleasant experiences.
